Can We Talk?

Job 18:2 (NIV)

Be sensible, and then we can talk.

~Prayer~

Heavenly Father, please open the lines of communication in our marriage and draw us closer each day......~Amen~

~Something To Ponder~

Marriage is not for the weak at heart. Are you ready to roll up your cleaves and make the marriage work. Anything worth having is worth fighting for. Sometimes we have the misconception of what marriage is all about. Did you think when you said "I Do" you are going to skip  through the tulips and not have any problems or your married the man of God or the woman of God and you will live happily ever after and ride into the sunset. It doesn't work out like that always. Are you communicating with your spouse or are you just room mates just for the kids? Can you and your mate talk about anything?  How do you deal with disagreements? There are rule in arguments.

The Do's of Arguments

  • Calm down and pray.
  • Talk to your mate calmly.
  • Keep an open mind.
  • Discuss how you are feeling.
  • Discuss it and leave it there.
The Don'ts of Arguments

  • Never lay hands on your mate.(fight)
  • Never disrespect our mate by calling him or her out of there name.
  • Never argue in front of your children.
  • Never go there.......Where ever your there is.
  • Never use what was said in confidence.
  • Never talk about Mother, Father, Sister, Brother and don't use your kids as a weapon.
  • Never put your kids in the middle of your arguments. They love you both and it is unfair for you to put them in that situation.
This is just to name a few pointers. Please remember words hit harder than a fist. You can't take back your  words you can only say "I'm sorry." Be mindful of what comes our of your mouth.
